A UK construction company with positive client reviews has entered liquidation. The development was confirmed by a notice in the London Gazette, the UK’s official public records publication that lists recent liquidations and administrations. The notice revealed that Mundo-Mac Construction and Surfacing Ltd entered Creditor’s Voluntary Liquidation (CVL) on March 19, 2026. The company was incorporated in June 2018, according to Companies House.
CVL is a process whereby a company cannot pay its debts and decides to put itself into liquidation, sell its assets and pay back its creditors. It occurs when companies decide to enter liquidation themselves rather than being forced to do so by a creditor presenting a winding-up petition. No statement has been shared by the company about its liquidation, and its website and social media accounts remain live.
The company has a registered office address at Unit 24 Pondworld Retail Park, Lynn Road, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, PE14 7DA.
Mark Newton and Nicola Meadows of AABRS Limited have been named as Joint Liquidators. A notice in the Gazette today reads: “Notice is given that by written resolutions, the members of the company passed a special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily, and an ordinary resolution appointing the Joint Liquidators for the purposes of the winding-up. The requisite voting majority was received on 19/03/2026.”
Mundo-Mac describes itself as “leading construction experts in Essex”. Its website says: “Whether you’re looking to upgrade your driveway, our experienced team delivers professional block paving solutions that are built to last and designed to impress.”
Among its services listed on its website are groundworks and sewer connections, aggregate and building material supply, tarmacadam and asphalt and drop kerbs.
It had received positive reviews from customers and clients over the years. One online review of the company reads: “Very satisfied with the dropped kerb work carried out. Was impressed with the end result. The cost of the work was considerably less than the quotes locally in the Peterborough area. Would certainly recommend Mundo Mac.”
Another said: “Excellent workmanship and competitively priced. Thorough understanding of what is required and all legal certification covered. Good knowledge of street works legislation. Great attention to detail and a really tidy job. Highly recommend.”
It is one of many construction and manufacturing firms that have entered liquidation in recent weeks. Many have said that the price of materials and energy costs are among the reasons for financial difficulties.
