Sarsen Technology has been acquired by HIPER Global UK in a deal that will see the Wiltshire-based distributor access expanded engineering capabilities and increased investment capacity.
The Marlborough company, which distributes embedded boards, systems and software for defence, aerospace and cyber security applications, will operate as part of HIPER Global’s organisation, whose UK base is in Wokingham, Berkshire.
Nigel Norman, managing director at Sarsen Technology, said: “We are excited to embark on this next stage of growth as part of the HIPER Global group. This partnership will allow us to offer a broader range of hardware solutions, strengthen our technical and commercial team, improve our international reach and create greater business opportunities for the outstanding manufacturers we represent.”
Founded in 2000, Sarsen has built a reputation supporting highly regulated customers with complex technologies where trust, continuity and domain expertise are vital.
The partnership means Sarsen now benefits from the scale and resources of a global organisation, including enhanced supply chain coordination.
Mark Turner, chief executive of HIPER Global UK, said: “By combining their specialist knowledge and partner ecosystem with HIPER Global’s engineering depth and custom compute expertise, we are creating a stronger and more capable partner for our customers.”
HIPER Global has facilities in the UK, US, Middle East and Germany, delivering hardware platforms, custom and off-the-shelf computing products, product design and turnkey manufacturing.
The transaction was advised by Guy Haynes, corporate director at KBS Corporate.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
