A UK holiday company has gone into administration with an official notice posted to The Gazette. Salamander Voyages LTD says Scott Murray and Ian Davison, both of Keenan Corporate Finance Ltd have been appointed as its administrators.
The company is a specialist family-owned luxury gulet and yacht business in the Mediterranean. On its website, a message reads: “After 23 years of wonderful sailing in the Aegean Sea, we are very sad to announce Salamander Voyages has taken the difficult decision to close its doors.”
It adds: “Please note that on 22 April 2026 Scott Murray and Ian Davison of Keenan Corporate Finance Ltd were appointed as Joint Administrators of the Company.
“For any creditor queries, please contact the Joint Administrators’ office by telephone (028 9023 3023) or email (info@keenancf.com).”
Talking about the trips the company offered, Peter Cooke, co-owner of Salamander Voyages, said he had over two decades of experience sailing the waters.
He added that the “Salamander Experience” is about “slowing down, discovering remarkable, often-overlooked places, and engaging with the people, traditions, and landscapes that make Turkey’s coastline so special,” reports Global Travel Media.
On its Instagram page, commenters have shared their praise for the company. One person wrote: “Oooo I am so looking forward to setting sail with you in May.” Another person penned: “Looks incredible.” One recent holiday marker said: “The most fun week we’ve ever had!”
At the time of writing, there is no formal statement on the company’s Instagram page which has over 3,000 followers.
On its Facebook page, it has not posted since February 24. On the post, which was just two months ago, it said it was proud to launch its new cabin charter offer.
It reads: “Starting from 2026, Salamander Voyages are introducing single cabin charters. Enjoy fine dining and wines, all onboard amenities and the regional expertise of our founders, Peter and Jenny Cooke. The perfect way to experience a week-long voyage without the expense of chartering the whole gulet. Discover more today.”
There are no further updates after the post, with its website now out of action.
