Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) has evolved beyond merely generating information to an era of ‘Physical AI,’ where it recognizes and acts within real-world physical environments. Global big tech companies are making large-scale investments in the development of humanoid robots and collaborative robots, and automation innovations that combine AI and robotics technologies are rapidly spreading across the manufacturing, logistics, medical, and service industries.

Experts predict that the future competitiveness of industries depends not just on the ability to utilize generative AI, but on securing robotics technology that enables AI to move and make decisions in the real world. In fact, autonomous delivery robots, logistics automation equipment, hospital guide robots, and smart factory collaborative robots are already being applied in various aspects of daily life and industrial sites, resulting in a rapidly increasing demand for specialized professionals.

In response to these industrial changes and demands, The Asia Business Daily Education Center is recruiting trainees for its ‘Intelligent Robot Software (SW) Developer Training Program’ to nurture specialized talent.

This program goes beyond basic coding education and focuses on training practical professionals who can implement technologies that allow robots to recognize, make decisions, and move autonomously. The curriculum is structured around ROS2 (Robot Operating System 2), the core platform for operating autonomous robots, and integrates learning in Physical AI, collaborative robots, and computer vision technologies.

In addition, the program extends beyond simple technical skills to research concepts aimed at realizing fully autonomous driving (Level 5), emphasizing the development of intelligent robot services that can be directly applied in industrial settings. Trainees will carry out projects based on various industrial application cases, including logistics automation, patient monitoring and biometric data analysis, quality inspection, inventory management, hazardous material detection, and reconnaissance systems.

The curriculum is centered on technologies used in the field, such as ▲Python ▲data analysis ▲OpenCV ▲deep learning ▲Linux ▲Docker ▲ROS2 ▲computer vision ▲AWS cloud. Through two individual projects and a final integrated project, trainees can build real-world portfolios that can be used for employment or career transitions.

In the final project phase, a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who is a former spin-off executive from Hyundai Motor Company will participate as a mentor to provide technical guidance. The project is based on real-world industry challenges, supporting trainees in strengthening not only their development skills but also their problem-solving abilities.

The education center offers a variety of programs to enhance trainees’ job competitiveness, including support for acquiring national robotics certifications and opportunities to participate in robotics competitions.

A representative from the education center stated, “Robots are no longer a technology of the future—they are already a core infrastructure deeply embedded in both industry and daily life. This program provides practical, hands-on training that prepares participants for the era of Physical AI and humanoid robots, focusing on nurturing future-oriented talent capable of integrating AI and robotics beyond just autonomous driving technologies.”
