Elior UK’s new partnership with Whittington Health NHS Trust will see the catering firm deliver services across the hospital’s revamped food court, spanning the N19 staff restaurant, Wild Green Deli, Cahoots Coffee, a coffee pod serving Costa coffee and a retail shop.
The new partnership follows Elior working closely with hospital stakeholders to shape its new offer, with refurbishments building on the Whittington’s existing dementia-friendly design approach. A refurbished main courtyard also “offers staff, patients and visitors a destination for relaxing and socialising”.
Customers to Cahoots Coffee can visit dedicated ‘chatter and natter’ tables, delivered in partnership with the Chatty Café Scheme to combat loneliness. Visitors can support the Whittington Hospital Charity by rounding up their bill at check out at Cahoots, or buying merchandise.
Elior UK’s CEO Michal Seal said: “We see this partnership as a chance to demonstrate what great catering and retail services can look like in a healthcare environment. Our market-leading approach brings innovation, insight and fresh thinking together to create spaces and services that deliver real value for patients, staff and visitors. By working alongside the trust as a strategic partner, we are delivering a service that sets a new standard for hospital catering.”
This is the latest contract win for the catering firm, which operates brands including Lexington Catering, Elior at Work and Taylor Shaw, following its recent partnership with Heathrow Airport’s Air France lounge.
Terms of its deal with Whittington Hospital were not disclosed.
