Bradford District Credit Union (BDCU) delivered the Safer Internet Day 2026 webinar and is celebrating the turnout after hosting the event earlier this month.
The webinar, titled Empowering AI Confidence, explored artificial intelligence, misinformation, online safety, and secure use of digital tools.
Ian Brewer, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) community development lead at BDCU, said: “At BDCU, we believe financial inclusion goes hand in hand with digital inclusion.
“As technology evolves, particularly with the rapid growth of AI, it is vital that everyone has access to clear, trustworthy information.”
The session was aimed at equipping the public with the tools to navigate the online world more safely and confidently.
It was hosted by Sharon Sanders, digital inclusion service lead at Bradford Council, and featured banking professionals, education leaders, and community safety speakers.
He said: “By bringing together experts and creating open, accessible spaces for learning, webinars like these help level the playing field by ensuring our communities are not left behind in conversations about modern technology.”
