HCRG Care Group and Child Action Northwest (CANW) have joined forces to strengthen early intervention services for children and young people across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
As part of the collaboration, six Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioners have transferred to CANW to help expand its existing Emotional Health and Wellbeing service.
The practitioners will continue delivering evidence-based support in schools, family hubs, and community settings.
Cathy Allen, who leads Lancashire’s Health Visiting and School Nursing service at HCRG Care Group, said: “We’re proud to continue delivering child and family services in Lancashire and to build on the strong foundations of the past six years.
“This new partnership with Child Action Northwest allows us to bring together the best of both organisations – combining our experience in delivering high-quality community health services with CANW’s specialist expertise in supporting emotional wellbeing.
“Together, we’re strengthening the local offer for children and families, providing early help in familiar settings like schools and family hubs, where it can make the biggest difference.”
This collaboration forms part of HCRG Care Group’s new five-year contract to continue delivering Lancashire’s Health Visiting and School Nursing service, which came into effect on October 1, commissioned by Lancashire County Council.
The practitioners who have joined CANW will maintain close working relationships with school nurses and remain based in family hubs to ensure seamless care.
