A UK car manufacturing company has entered administration, records show.
A notice published in The London Gazette confirms that WCM Europe Ltd is in administration after financial difficulties.
Joint administrators were appointed on March 4 by the High Court of Justice’s Business and Property Courts in Birmingham.

WCM is registered in Nottingham and operates from Basildon in Essex.
On its website, the company describes itself as a “world-class manufacturing” business.
It adds: “WCM combines engineering and manufacturing to produce automotive solutions for leading global brands.
“The capabilities of the Group’s 6 divisions deliver a complete product development service to customers looking to introduce innovative parts, assemblies and systems to markets worldwide.
“The production capabilities within WCM use state of the art manufacturing processes to rapidly and efficiently deliver solutions to OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers.”
Now that the business has entered the administration process, control of the company is in the hands of insolvency practitioners.
Interpath Advisory has been appointed to oversee the administration process for WCM.

The London Gazette notice says that the formal appointment was made by the Business and Property Courts in Birmingham.
They will assess the business and explore options including restructuring, a sale of the company or its assets, or closure if a rescue proves impossible.
It is unclear how many employees may be affected or whether operations at the Basildon site will continue while administrators review the company’s future.

The travel sector has been hit hard, with four companies having ceased trading in the opening months of 2026.
The companies shutting down resulted in the cancellation of flights and holiday packages to destinations around the world.

All four have ceased trading, according to Companies House, and have lost their Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL).
