A TEAM of automotive experts have pulled together a definitive ranking of electric vehicles – and the winner reaches a whopping 575 mile range.
Swapping to an electric vehicle is becoming an increasingly popular choice amongst drivers.

Lower running costs, higher efficiency and decreased environmental impact see many vehicle owners tempted to make the switch from traditional combustible cars to electric.
In recent weeks, as fuel prices continue to skyrocket with the ongoing war in Iran, interest in purchasing electric vehicles has never been higher.
With many models to choose from, a team of expert motor journalists from Top Gear have created a definitive ranking of the best electric cars on sale in UK that can really go the distance.
Topping the list was the Mercedes EQS 450+, with the vehicle boasting a whopping range of 575 miles.
To put this in perspective, you could drive from London to Paris and back again without needing to charge your car!
The bigger battery in the new (and soon available to buy) Merc means it trumps the previous model by an extra 88 miles.
The electric vehicle even boasts a quick charging turnaround, with Top Gear assuring readers they’ll never need to panic about getting caught out – the car’s 800-volt tech is capable of adding 200 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
Stepping into silver is the BMW i3, ranging an impressive 562 miles (just four miles short of completing the London to Paris trip!).
The sleek model boasts luxury interiors and according to BMW the 3 series is the “essence” of the brand.
Taking third place is the Volvo EX60, claiming a meaty 503 mile range, which according to Top Gear is a result of the vehicles “cell to body battery”, meaning cells are bolted straight into the body of the car rather than the pack itself.
