Grosvenor Property UK (GPUK) has appointed Jonathan Rae as its chief financial officer from build-to-rent developer and operator PLATFORM_, where he has been finance director from 2018.
His property experience covers the UK residential, retail, office and logistics sectors, working on funding strategy, investor partnerships, governance and operational delivery.
At PLATFORM_, he helped scale up the business from around 600 to over 4,000 apartments across its operational portfolio and secured development pipeline, working with multiple institutional investors.
Prior to joining PLATFORM_ he spent 11 years at British Land and worked in number of finance leadership roles, including head of retail finance, and head of investor relations.
Rae also sits on the audit and risk committee and finance committee of Real Estate: UK and the audit and risk committee of housing association Soho Housing.
He succeeds Debbie Lee, who will become Grosvenor chief financial officer later this summer, taking on the role from Rob Davis, who is retiring.
Rae will work with Lee ahead of her move to the new role, while Davis will continue to fulfil CFO responsibilities for the Grosvenor Family Office on a part-time basis until some time in 2027.

GPUK said it is focused on developing several significant projects to boost the economy in London’s West End, enhance its appeal and improve local wellbeing. The business is also increasing its backing of real estate partners through its private credit offering.
Last week, the group reported strong performance from its UK portfolio in 2025, with underlying profits up 14% to £88.7m and a total return of 5.1%, although disappointing’ results in North America led to an overall revenue loss of £23.2m.
