Accenture Unveils Cyber.AI to Automate Security with Anthropic’s Claude Amid Rising AI Threats

Accenture has introduces Cyber.AI, a new cybersecurity solution powered by Anthropic’s Claude, aimed at helping organisations shift from human-paced security responses to continuous, AI-driven operations.

The solution combines Accenture’s library of proprietary AI agents with Claude’s reasoning capabilities to automate and scale decision-making across the cybersecurity lifecycle. The company said Cyber.AI is designed to address growing complexity in digital environments and the rapid expansion of AI-led threats.

Cyber.AI includes a component called Agent Shield, which enables enterprises to monitor, govern and secure autonomous AI agents in real time. The platform integrates enterprise-grade controls with Claude’s built-in safety guardrails to ensure AI systems operate within organisational risk frameworks.

The launch comes amid rising concerns around AI-enabled cyber risks. According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Cyber Outlook Report 2026, nearly nine in ten organisations identify AI-related vulnerabilities as the fastest-growing threat vector.

“Adversaries are using AI to compress attack timelines from weeks to hours, while traditional controls are built for human-speed threats,” said Damon McDougald, Global Cybersecurity Services lead at Accenture. He added that integrating Claude into Cyber.AI enables enterprises to operate at machine speed while maintaining governance from the outset.

At its core, Cyber.AI uses Claude as a reasoning engine to synthesise large volumes of security data and deliver contextual insights. Its agentic architecture supports automated workflows across functions such as threat detection, analysis, and response, helping reduce reliance on manual intervention.

Accenture said the platform can orchestrate AI-driven “missions” across the security lifecycle—from initial assessments and triage to remediation and long-term transformation. These workflows draw on a curated library of agents spanning identity security, cyber defence, secure digital infrastructure, and resilience.

Early deployments suggest measurable gains in efficiency. Accenture has implemented Cyber.AI within its own IT environment, covering over 1,600 applications and more than 5,00,000 APIs. The company reported that scan turnaround times dropped from several days to under an hour, while testing coverage increased from around 10% to over 80%. This, in turn, helped reduce backlogs of critical vulnerabilities and improve service delivery by 35%.

A separate enterprise use case involved a Fortune 500 agriculture company that used Cyber.AI to modernise identity and access management (IAM) operations and accelerate platform migrations with improved accuracy.

“Cybersecurity demands AI that can reason across vast amounts of data, act autonomously through complex workflows, and operate within strict governance boundaries,” said Michael Moore, Head of Cybersecurity Products at Anthropic. He noted that security operations are emerging as a key application area for agentic AI.

Industry analysts say such platforms reflect a broader shift in how cybersecurity teams operate. “As AI adoption accelerates, organisations are facing a fragmented cybersecurity landscape driven by the rapid growth of non-human identities and autonomous agents,” said Craig Robinson Research Vice President, IDC. He added that coordinated, large-scale orchestration of AI agents will be critical to modern defence strategies.

Cyber.AI is positioned as a technology-agnostic solution that can integrate with existing enterprise systems, allowing organisations to modernise security operations without overhauling their infrastructure.

As enterprises expand their use of AI, Accenture’s latest offering underscores a shift toward proactive, intelligence-driven cybersecurity models, where automation and machine-speed response are becoming central to managing increasingly sophisticated threats.
