Haven Holidays has been welcoming families to their seaside parks for more than 60 years.
And now a major change is coming, as bosses have announced they’ll be opening Wetherspoons pubs at most of Haven’s 39 locations.
There are already nine parks with a Spoons, and the partnership has been so successful, that CEO Simon Palethorpe says the plan is that almost all of the sites should have one.
Speaking at Haven’s Kent Coast park, home to Wetherspoons’ new pub The London Stone, Simon said: ‘I would like to see us growing this concept further across our estate.
‘I definitely think there is an opportunity for the majority of our parks to have a Wetherspoons.’
In two years, one million Spoons pub meals have been sold at Haven.
Speaking to the Mirror, Simon continued: ‘I could only have dreamed at that point that it would be this successful with our guests as it has been.

‘We are here celebrating a million, but I expect it to be many millions in a couple of years time.’
Haven is a reliable favourite for families looking for a UK staycation.
In 2025, consumer champion, Which? placed the brand mid-table in its ranking of the best UK Holiday Parks, beating out the likes of Butlins, Parkdean, and coming in just one place after Center Parcs.
Its site in Hopton, Norfolk, was also named AA Holiday Park of the Year in 2025, awarded for its coastal location and ‘welcoming guest experience.’
On TripAdvisor, travellers have called their Haven trips ‘absolutely brilliant’. After her stay at the Kent Coast site this week, one reviewer said: ‘We are in love and addicted to this place.’
Another said they ‘loved every minute of our holiday from start to finish.’
And the Wetherspoons pubs go down well too. A traveller who visited with her family earlier this month said: ‘We ate at Wetherspoons most days but every time the food was fresh and hot and a great variety. The servers were extremely welcoming and nice to us every time.’
Haven and Wetherspoons first joined forces back in 2024 — launching an exclusive partnership aimed at improving the holiday park’s food and beverage offerings.
The first pub opened in March 2024, at Haven’s Primrose Valley Holiday Park in Filey, North Yorkshire.
There are now nine in total, after the addition of four more onsite locations which opened earlier this year: Haven’s Cala Gran in Blackpool, Lakeland in Cumbria, Riviere Sands in Cornwall and, Hopton in Norfolk.
Over the past two years, Haven has poured millions into the scheme, committing £9 million to the partnership from its wider £14 million programme of food and beverage upgrades.
Alongside Wetherspoon, Haven has also added a number of new onsite Burger King restaurants to different locations.
How much does it cost to stay at a Haven holiday park?
Haven costs differ from park to park, and each location offers a different kind of stay — with some loved for its coastal location while others specialise in particular family-focused amenities.
For four guests, three nights in September at the holiday park in Hopton, Norfolk should set you back approximately £459.
Staying in the Emerald Lodge, these 16ft wide holiday homes come complete with a 40-inch TV in the living room, a 22-inch TV in the main bedroom and a range of modern free-standing furniture.
However, if you opt for one of the larger caravan options available, 12ft wide with modern furnishings and a decking area included, you’ll fork out just under £250.
There are lots of accommodation options at Haven for you to choose from, so hopefully you’ll find one that suits your needs.
