BaxterStorey has extended its British Airways partnership to 2035 and appointed Kirsty Hurst-Worth as regional director of British Airways’ UK lounge operations.
The contract caterer will continue to deliver food and beverage, housekeeping and hospitality services across 13 British Airways lounges based across Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gatwick and Heathrow, which welcome up to 14,000 guests per day.
The partnership dates back to 2013 and marks the WSH-owned caterer’s continued investment into its travel division.
The creation of Hurst-Worth’s new role builds on her decade’s experience across British Airways lounges, while also enabling BaxterStorey to focus on client relationships, commercial performance and people strategy across its 700-strong team.
She said: “I’m delighted to step into this new role and even more pleased that we are extending our relationship with British Airways. I’m looking forward to continuing to work alongside our team to ensure the guest experience across the lounges continues to go from strength to strength.”
Matt Callard, head of lounge experience at British Airways, added: “Our shared commitment to excellence and world-class standards makes this collaboration especially meaningful, and the longevity of our relationship is a true testament to the strength of the partnership and the outstanding team behind it.”
Ronan Harte, chief executive of BaxterStorey, commented: “We are truly delighted to be strengthening our long-standing partnership with British Airways, and to be looking ahead to delivering even more innovation and memorable hospitality experiences to the thousands of customers we welcome every day.”
BaxterStorey operates across 1,000 locations in the UK, Ireland and Europe.
