Blackburn brothers see their sweet business boom across UK

Logan Hughes, 13, and his nine-year-old brother Barkley have grown Sweet Bros from a summer holiday idea into a fast-scaling business, now stocked in around 30 retail stores from Scotland down to Cornwall.

The pair set out in 2025 to create the ultimate pick ’n’ mix, focusing on bold flavours, fizzy sweets and soft, chewy textures that stand out from the norm.

Since then, demand has surged.

The brand has received a high number of sample requests from new retailers, with more shops waiting to come on board as the brothers work through orders.

They said they have been “blown away” by the level of support from both customers and businesses.

A recent viral video, which reached 1.4 million views, has also helped boost awareness, alongside collaborations with local names including Blackburn Rovers.

To keep up with growth, Sweet Bros has invested in a packing machine, with international interest now coming in from as far as the United States.

The brothers are also developing vegan, gluten-free, and halal options as they expand their range.

As the business continues to grow, they have now added another milestone closer to home, with their sweets officially stocked at the Blackburn Empire Theatre, a venue they have visited for years.
