Circle Health Group, which operates The Beaumont Hospital, has teamed up with Arthritis UK as the charity’s first-ever surgery support partner.

The partnership will sponsor Arthritis UK’s online community platform, Arthritis Connect, offering individuals a dedicated space to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with others living with the condition.

The Beaumont Hospital and Circle Health Group will also provide users with expert information and guidance on treatment options, helping people make informed decisions about their care.

Peter James, chief medical officer at Circle Health Group, said: “Arthritis UK play an enormous role supporting those living with arthritis to access the support and resources they need to live the lives they want.

“To be named as their first ever surgery support partner is an honour.

“We are committed to working closely with the charity to support its mission and to provide, where appropriate, the expertise and guidance on offer across our UK-wide hospital network.”

Circle Health Group is the UK’s largest private hospital operator, with 54 sites nationwide, including The Beaumont Hospital.

Al Graham, director of income and engagement at Arthritis UK, said: “When patients are told they need joint replacement surgery, it can feel overwhelming.

“This is because there may be a lot of information to take in, and it can be hard to know where to start.

“This important partnership means we will be able to help more people with arthritis to live well, one of our charity’s core goals.

“Providing support and information is key to realising that ambition, and we are delighted to be working with Circle Health Group to make sure people have access to the information and support they need to make the best possible choices to manage their arthritis.

“Thanks to Circle Health Group’s generous funding, we can continue to provide practical support and advice to the 10 million people across the UK living with arthritis, including our accessible health information, advice and our Arthritis Connect online community.”

Arthritis Connect is free to join and accessible via an internet browser or by downloading the app.

The charity supports more than 67,000 people every year and has invested over £540 million into arthritis research.
