Fix Auto UK completes Fix Auto Edinburgh West investment

Fix Auto UK has completed a major investment in its Fix Auto Edinburgh West repair centre.

It has relocated the operation as part of an expansion programme designed to future-proof the business and create capacity for continued growth.

The move, which represents a major milestone since the business was acquired in September 2024, more than doubles the footprint of the former facility, providing a larger, more efficient and productive repair environment and significantly increasing the centre’s repair capacity.

Under the continued management of Michael Kinnell, the 24,000 sqft workshop includes three super-efficient spraybooths including one for high-top LCVs and motorhomes, and 28 work bays with potential to develop more.

An additional five members of staff have also been recruited.

Ian Pugh, group managing director for the Advantage Group of Companies, which Fix Auto UK lies within, said: “Edinburgh is a major hub for us and this is truly another exciting step forward for Fix Auto Edinburgh West and our own group of bodyshops. This investment further demonstrates our commitment to the future not only of our operation but of our Scotland proposition.

“We recognised the potential of the business when we acquired it two years ago. This strategic move allows us to fully realise that potential by bringing the entire operation together, creating a much more efficient working environment and giving us the capacity to handle far more repairs.

“It is about much more than moving things around – it is about creating a repair centre that is better equipped for our customers, our people and the continued growth of the business.”
