The Sunday Times has named Vernon Lodge on Harcourt Road as one of the best 56 homes for sale in the UK inside the nation’s top places to live.
The house, first built in 1885 and home to Gladstone’s Chancellor of the Exchequer Sir William Vernon Harcourt, is listed for sale via John Goodwin for £2million.
Throughout the years, it has been home to many families and the renowned local private school Malvern St James.
In The Sunday Times, the author wrote: “We’ve locked in the locations, now have some fun and scroll through some of the distinctive properties for sale in our 2026 list of best places to live.
“Vernon Lodge in West Malvern has five bedrooms, a glamorous kitchen-dining room and a platformed barbecue area with a hot tub on the side in its south-facing garden.”
