A Lake District property expert has been named one of the UK’s top country specialists for rural real estate.
Gemma Dawe, founder of Lake District Relocation Ltd, has been listed in the Spear’s 500 for the third year running.
She said: “I feel incredibly proud to be recognised by Spear’s as a recommended country specialist.
“It is an honour that means a great deal to me personally, but also to the business I have built here in the Lake District.”
Ms Dawe has built a strong reputation since launching her Lake District Relocation business in 2020.
She specialises in luxury countryside homes valued between £500,000 and £10 million, working exclusively with buyers and using her network of contacts to secure off-market properties.
Spear’s says its recommended experts like Gemma, “have their fingers on the pulse when it comes to luxury rural real estate.”
Ms Dawe said the recognition is particularly meaningful because of the thorough research and peer feedback used in compiling the guide.

The Spear’s 500 is considered one of the leading guides to advisers for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals worldwide.
It covers sectors including wealth, law, and property, and aims to identify the best professionals in each field.
Spear’s said: “Gemma Dawe is a Lake District native who knows the area and local agents intimately, and puts her experience to great effect as a buying agent at her company, Lake District Relocation.
“Many of her deals are conducted off-market, and she acts as a conduit to ready buyers for local contacts in the Lake District as well as the Yorkshire Dales.
“Dawe also can advise on buying existing properties to redevelop.”

Ms Dawe, who grew up in Windermere, credits her lifelong connection to the Lake District as a key part of her success.
She said: “I have lived in the Lake District my entire life and that gives me an advantage that cannot easily be replicated.
“This is not simply a market I work in. It is the place I know, understand and care deeply about.
“Over the years I have developed strong relationships across the region, from the South Lakes and wider Cumbria to parts of the Yorkshire Dales.
“Those connections often mean I hear about opportunities long before they reach the open market.”
She added: “The property market continues to evolve, particularly in destinations like the Lake District where demand remains strong for exceptional homes.
“What remains constant is the importance of trust, relationships and local knowledge.
“These are the principles that Lake District Relocation was built on and they remain at the centre of everything I do.”
