Asda has announced a new partnership

Asda has announced that it is forming a partnership with InPost, which operates parcel lockers throughout the UK, to install up to 700 units at Asda locations. The retailer said this would offer shoppers “a convenient new way to send, collect and return parcels while they shop” and described it as “one of InPost’s most significant UK retail partnerships to date”.

Asda stated the rollout represents part of its “continued investment in services that make life easier for customers and enhance the convenience of shopping in-store”. The parcel lockers will be positioned across a variety of Asda superstores, supermarkets and Express sites, allowing shoppers to collect, send and return parcels at a time that works for them.

The chain said the initiative responds to rising demand for out-of-home delivery options, as consumers progressively seek greater flexibility and control over when and where they dispatch and receive parcels. As part of InPost’s expanding UK network of more than 16,000 lockers, Asda noted “the partnership underlines the accelerating shift towards out-of-home delivery in the UK”.

It continued that “the commitment to install up to 700 Lockers across Asda’s estate will significantly broaden access to InPost’s network and strengthen the role of lockers as a mainstream alternative to traditional home delivery”.
