A UK car dealership has crashed into liquidation after being in business for just six years. The Car Sales Factory Limited was a used car dealership based at Unit 4C, Park Road, Bury, Lancashire. The company specialised in the sale of used cars and light motor vehicles.

It also held Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) authorisation, allowing it to act as a credit broker and offer vehicle finance packages to customers. However, an official notice published in The Gazette now says that the firm has entered liquidation. The notice adds that Christopher Purkiss of Moore Kingston Smith & Partners LLP was appointed liquidator on June 9, 2026.

The company, which previously traded as CSF Motors Ltd, was incorporated in May 2020.

A winding-up order was made on June 11, 2026, according to records published in The Gazette.

The notice timeline shows that a petition to wind up the company was first filed on April 10, 2026. This was followed by a creditors’ meeting on April 16.

Resolutions for winding up were then published on May 12 before liquidators were appointed.

The business was originally launched by director Ghazanfar Ali Khan. It began trading as CSF Motors Ltd before changing its name to The Car Sales Factory Limited later in 2020.

The firm secured FCA authorisation in September 2020, allowing it to carry out regulated finance and consumer credit activities.

For several years, it operated as a local used car dealership in Bury, selling vehicles and arranging finance for customers.

However, the company ran into difficulties earlier this year. According to information published by the FCA, the firm’s authorisation was revoked following enforcement action.

The regulator said the company could “no longer provide regulated activities and products”. The FCA also added that there has been “disciplinary or regulatory action involving this firm”.

The FCA website says that the company failed to submit required regulatory returns and also failed to pay regulatory levies. On top of that, the FCA said the firm did not respond to official warning notices.

As a result, a formal Notice of Decision to cancel the company’s financial permissions was issued on March 17, 2026. The cancellation took effect on April 14, 2026.

The loss of its FCA permissions meant the company could no longer carry out regulated finance activities.

Shortly afterwards, insolvency proceedings began. A compulsory winding-up petition was brought against the company in the Insolvency and Companies Court in London. The company was subsequently placed into liquidation.
