UK construction company plunges into liquidation – in business since 2021 | UK | News

A UK construction and joinery firm with excellent reviews from customers has entered liquidation. Several UK construction firms have ceased trading in the first half of 2026, with some pointing to inflated costs and difficult trading conditions as reasons for financial strain. One of the most recent companies to enter liquidation is OJG Joinery & Construction Limited.

The firm, based in Leeds, entered liquidation on June 25, 2026, according to an official notice shared in the London Gazette. Dave Clark and Phil Clark of Clark Business Recovery Limited in Leeds have been named as joint liquidators.

The company has entered Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation, which means its directors and/or shareholders decided voluntarily to enter liquidation due to insolvency, rather than being forced to. It means that the company will wind up its operations, sell off its assets and pay back its creditors.

According to Companies House, the business was incorporated in 2021. However, its website says that it has more than 10 years of experience delivering joinery and construction services.

It says it has a “friendly and reliable team who work hard to maintain our reputation as one of Leeds’s most trustworthy joinery and construction companies”.

“We pride ourselves on offering a hassle-free and affordable service where the customer’s needs always take priority, as do excellent quality workmanship and operating to modern standards,” its website reads.

Among its listed services are home extensions, artificial grass and natural turf, landscaping, decking, kitchen fitting, plumbing, electrical, plastering, fencing, painting and decorating.

OJG Joinery & Construction Limited had received positive reviews from customers over the years. One wrote on MyBuilder.com: “I’ve never had before such a good team for renovation. Professionals -Olly and his team did a very good job. My new patio is stunning! I really can recommend!”

Another said: “I needed 3 internal doors shaved down due to new carpets. Posted the job this morning, and they came out this afternoon! The job was complete within the hour. Polite, clean and efficient. Would definitely use for any joinery jobs in the future.”

On the review site, it has a near-perfect 4.7 stars out of 5. Its website and social media accounts are still live.

The Express has contacted the company for comment.
