A UK technology firm has collapsed this week after 30 years in business.

Teleware Limited, based in Easingwold near York, says they “help customers to improve their communication infrastructure so that they can communicate more effectively”. According to The London Gazette, the company went into administration on March 6, and administrators from Redman Nichols Butler in Driffield were appointed on March 9. The software vendor helps businesses “address several modern workplace challenges” and “get more from their Microsoft investment to increase productivity, enhance employee experience and improve return”

The company designs and develops communication software, often in collaboration with partners, to create “first-to-market opportunities”.

Over its 30 years in business, Teleware has developed technology used by some of the world’s most recognised brands. These include British Airways, Bank of England, Sainsbury’s, Deloitte, Samsung, the NHS, Bupa, and Barclays.

It even became the world’s leading provider of mobile call recording. It has worked with Microsoft for over 25 years.

During this time, they have been responsible for two world firsts, including being the first to route, record and analyse a call in real time using Microsoft Azure.

Teleware says it has cultivated “some long-lasting and fruitful partnerships” with partners including BT, Deloitte and PwC, as well as smaller specialist companies.

The company said it only works with a small number of partners. These partnerships are built on “shared values, transparency, and an ability to add value to each other’s businesses”.
