Cybersecurity firm looks to grow with eight-figure sum

A cybersecurity firm is targeting global growth after securing eight-figure funding.

Assured Data Protection has unveiled plans to expand into France, Canada and Latin America.

Bosses at the Leeds-headquartered business say it is also set to strengthen data protection, cyber resiliency and disaster recovery support.

The blueprint follows backing from HSBC UK’s £250 million Growth Lending fund.

Known for back-up and recovery technology support to enterprise and mid-market organisations, the Harewood-based business operates as a global managed service provider for cloud data management platform Rubrik.

Simon Chappell, Assured Data Protection chief executive, said: “We needed a banking partner that understood the scale of our plans, and HSBC UK was quick to see our vision.

“We go into 2026 with a strong global team in place and ambitions for a positive year ahead.”

Jamie McCullough, HSBC UK senior corporate director, added: “Assured has a clear strategy built on understanding changing global demand.

“With this facility, new innovations in the pipeline and a solid strategy, we’re excited to see what the future holds.”
