Police use of AI leads to review of rape convictions in UK

London | Several rape convictions are under review after a UK detective involved in the cases was suspended for allegedly preparing evidence by giving biased prompts to an artificial intelligence chatbot.

The Financial Times revealed last week that Derbyshire Police had suspended the officer from frontline duties and launched a criminal investigation over his AI use, in what is thought to be the first case of its kind in Britain.
